Where it came from
QQ Sweeper was created by the mangaka Motomi Kyousuke and serialized in Shogakukan's Monthly Shonen Magazine beginning in 2014. The series blends supernatural elements with a school setting, focusing on a mysterious transfer student named Kyutaro Horikita who works as a professional cleaner, a role that serves as a front for exorcising malevolent spirits from human hearts.
Motomi Kyousuke is widely recognized for her previous work on the series Dengeki Daisy, and in QQ Sweeper, she utilizes her signature style to balance dark, gothic imagery with lighthearted character interactions. The manga was received as a compelling precursor to the direct sequel series, Queen's Quality, and is noted by critics for its clean linework and the thematic depth it brings to the 'spiritual janitor' genre.
