Where it came from
Rewrite:SIDE-TERRA(1) serves as a supplementary volume to the visual novel Rewrite, developed by Key and originally released in 2011. This specific volume explores the narrative arc of the character Kagari, known as the 'Moon' or 'Terra' route, providing deeper context to the complex science-fiction and fantasy themes established in the main game. It functions as an extension of the franchise's world-building, focusing on the cosmic and existential stakes of the original story.
The volume was curated to satisfy the demand for deeper lore regarding the Key universe and features illustrations consistent with the established visual style of the game's art team. It was received by fans as a companion piece intended to clarify the overarching philosophical questions posed by the Terra route. As a collection item, it is valued by enthusiasts of the visual novel medium who seek to complete their documentation of the Key intellectual property.
