Servamp

Servamp is a dark fantasy manga series created by the mangaka Tanaka Strike, which began serialization in Monthly Comic Gene in 2011. The story centers on Mahiru Shirota, a high school student who accidentally enters into a contract with a lethargic vampire named Sleepy Ash, eventually drawing him into a larger conflict between the seven vampires representing the Seven Deadly Sins. Tanaka Strike conceived the series as a modern supernatural action piece, blending gothic aesthetics with character-driven interpersonal dynamics.

The character designs were developed by Tanaka Strike with an emphasis on visual contrast, specifically pairing the minimalistic, laid-back personality of Sleepy Ash with more intricate, militaristic, or flamboyant designs for the other Servamps. Upon its release, the series found a dedicated audience for its stylized artwork and thematic exploration of human nature and bonds, eventually inspiring an anime adaptation by Brain's Base and Platinum Vision that further cemented its presence in the mid-2010s manga landscape.
