Sirius The Jaeger

Sirius the Jaeger originated as a 2018 original anime series produced by the studio P.A. Works. The accompanying manga adaptation, illustrated by Nishimura Aki, was serialized to expand upon the narrative of Yuliy, a young werewolf who joins a group of vampire hunters known as the Jaegers. The work sits within the darker fantasy genre, blending historical 1930s aesthetic sensibilities with supernatural action sequences.

The character design and visual direction were intended to capture a gothic, cinematic tone common in historical-supernatural dramas. The series was created to explore themes of vengeance and identity, drawing inspiration from early 20th-century European settings. While the anime received attention for its fluid animation and distinctive character styling, the print media served as a supplemental companion piece that provided a more grounded, episodic look at the protagonists' motivations.
