Snow Drop

Snow Drop is a manhwa series created by the South Korean artist Choi Kyung-ah, originally serialized during the late 1990s and early 2000s. Emerging during a period of significant growth for the Korean manhwa industry, the series captured the aesthetic sensibilities of the era, focusing on themes of romance, identity, and the complex interpersonal dynamics of high school students. It remains one of the more recognizable works from this transitional period in Korean sequential art.

The visual design of the series reflects Choi Kyung-ah’s signature style, characterized by delicate linework and an emphasis on character expression. The narrative follows the life of a protagonist dealing with themes of memory and self-discovery, presented through the lens of a shoujo-influenced stylistic approach. While the series garnered a dedicated following among manhwa readers for its emotional depth and distinct artistic presentation, it is primarily viewed today as a notable example of the stylistic trends that defined the manhwa market at the turn of the millennium.
