Star Catcher (pre-Originals)

The Star Catcher series, created by the artist known as Ro-taniah, emerged during a transitional period for independent digital manga. Originally conceived as a self-published project, the series reflects the early 2000s fascination with celestial aesthetics and high-fantasy character designs. Ro-taniah sought to blend intricate, ethereal linework with a narrative focused on cosmological mythology, distinguishing the work from the more mainstream shonen titles of the era.

The reception of the pre-Originals release was largely confined to niche online artist communities and early digital forums where fans of indie manga congregated. Critics and readers at the time noted the artist's focus on fluid composition and atmospheric world-building. These volumes are now considered artifacts of an era before the widespread institutionalization of webcomics, serving as a primary record of Ro-taniah's initial creative vision before the series underwent its later commercial revisions.
