Where it came from
The Star Driver: Kagayaki no Takuto Anthology was released following the conclusion of the 2010 Bones studio anime series. It was designed as a celebratory companion piece, inviting various manga artists to interpret the vibrant, theatrical aesthetics of the show's Southern Cross Island setting and its distinct mecha designs. The anthology serves as an extension of the series' cult following, focusing on the character-driven drama and the flamboyant visual style that defined the original animation.
Kuzushiro, among several contributing artists, lent their characteristic illustrative style to these pages. The collection was curated to provide fans with a kaleidoscopic view of the series, capturing the melodrama and high-stakes intensity of the Cybody battles. It was received as a niche collector's item, primarily appealing to those deeply invested in the lore and visual flair of the source material long after its original broadcast concluded.
