Star Trek: The Last Starship #11

Star Trek: The Last Starship #11 is part of the ongoing comic book series published by IDW Publishing, which debuted in 2022. The series was designed to bridge gaps between different eras of the Star Trek timeline, serving as a flagship narrative that unites characters from The Original Series, The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, and Voyager. It emerged from IDW’s effort to revitalize their licensed catalog by grounding the story in a high-stakes, multiversal threat that necessitated the assembly of a diverse crew.

The series is written by Jackson Lanzing and Collin Kelly, who sought to capture the exploratory spirit of the franchise while raising the narrative stakes to a cosmic scale. Their writing is paired with artwork that emphasizes the grand scale of deep space and the intricate interplay between established fan-favorite characters. The series has been received by the fan base as a successful attempt to modernize the franchise's comic presence, focusing on character-driven arcs that honor the history of the source material while moving the narrative forward into new, uncharted territory.
