Steins;Gate!

Steins;Gate originated as a visual novel released by Nitroplus and 5pb. in 2009, serving as the second entry in the Science Adventure series. The narrative explores the consequences of time travel through the perspective of self-proclaimed mad scientist Rintaro Okabe, who discovers the ability to send messages into the past. Following the game's critical success, the story was adapted into a manga series serialized in Monthly Comic Alive, written and illustrated by Yomi Sarachi, which closely follows the core plot of the original game while adapting its complex, branching scientific themes for a static print medium.

The character designs, originally conceived by Huke, are characterized by a distinct, moody aesthetic that highlights the psychological isolation of the protagonists. This visual language was successfully translated into the manga format, preserving the tense, conspiracy-laden atmosphere of Akihabara. The work is widely regarded as a seminal piece of science fiction in contemporary Japanese media, praised for its intricate plotting and the emotional depth of its exploration of causality and destiny.
