Still You (Pre-Serialization)

Still You originated as an independent web-serialized draft by Nishio Kami, emerging from the burgeoning digital manga scene of the late 2010s. The work was initially shared on community-driven platforms to gauge audience interest, serving as a raw, experimental prototype that prioritized atmospheric narrative building over the rigid structural constraints of traditional commercial publishing.

The aesthetic of this early version is defined by a minimalist, sketch-heavy approach, reflecting Kami’s intention to capture fleeting emotional states rather than polished action sequences. While it remained a niche interest during its pre-serialization phase, the project gained a dedicated following for its introspective tone, eventually providing the foundational character sketches and plot beats that would later inform its transition into a formal, industry-vetted production.
