STUNTS 9-Banme no Ghost

STUNTS 9-Banme no Ghost, authored by Daichi Sora, emerged during a period of experimentation within seinen manga, blending psychological tension with a distinct, kinetic art style. The series was designed to explore the intersection of performance, illusion, and existential dread, following characters tethered to the high-stakes environment of stunt work and the uncanny occurrences that follow them. The narrative structure leans heavily into atmospheric world-building, utilizing shadow and minimalist paneling to heighten the sense of unease inherent in the title.

Upon its release, the work was noted for Sora's ability to maintain a sharp, clean aesthetic while delivering a story that often left the reader questioning the reliability of the protagonist's perspective. It functioned as a niche entry in the genre, appreciated primarily by readers who favored character-driven mysteries over conventional action tropes. While it did not reach the scale of mainstream blockbusters, it established a dedicated following for its unique fusion of professional stunt culture and supernatural storytelling.
