Summer's Curse

Summer's Curse, authored by the creator known as Deulsum, is a work that emerged from the evolving landscape of digital manhwa. It reflects the genre's shift toward character-driven psychological narratives, focusing on the tension and complex dynamics between its protagonists. The series was developed to explore themes of isolation and lingering emotional trauma, utilizing the visual pacing characteristic of contemporary Korean web-serial formats to slowly unveil its central mystery.

The design of the series centers on a minimalist aesthetic, often employing a restrained color palette to mirror the cold, melancholic atmosphere of the narrative. Deulsum's illustrative style emphasizes expressive character silhouettes and subtle environmental storytelling rather than elaborate background details. Upon its release, the work was received by readers as a contemplative entry in the genre, appreciated primarily for its deliberate narrative rhythm and the author's ability to maintain a consistent, heavy mood throughout the volume's duration.
