Where it came from
This collection represents the first curated retrospective of works by Tan Jiu, the celebrated Chinese artist best known for the popular webcomic 'Tamen de Gushi'. Released as a physical compendium, the volume was created to satisfy the demand of an expansive digital fanbase that had followed the artist’s vibrant, emotionally resonant character studies and slice-of-life illustrations across social media platforms.
The design of the collection focuses on preserving the atmospheric quality of Tan Jiu’s digital work, utilizing high-quality paper stock to capture the distinct, saturated color palettes and soft linework that define the artist's aesthetic. Upon its release, the book was received as a milestone in the crossover between web-based illustration and traditional print media, marking the artist's transition into a globally recognized figure within the contemporary manga and illustration scene.
