Where it came from
The Cross Triangle is a manga series created by the duo known as Kaishaku, published in the mid-2000s. The work emerged during a period of experimentation for the duo, following the success of their earlier titles like Steel Angel Kurumi and Magical Meow Meow Taruto. It occupies a niche space in the seinen and shonen crossover demographics, blending character-driven storytelling with the aesthetic sensibilities common to the era's light-hearted supernatural adventures.
Kaishaku, consisting of artists Rin Saegusa and Mutsumi Saitou, designed the series with a focus on their signature soft character styling and intricate outfit designs. The work was generally received as a light, accessible title that leaned into the duo's established style of mixing whimsical humor with light fantasy elements. While it may not have reached the same level of mainstream cultural penetration as their more prominent works, it remains a recognized entry in their bibliographical catalog for fans of their specific artistic approach.
