The Kind Older Sister Is No More (Promo)

The Kind Older Sister Is No More, also known as The Kind Older Sister Is No Longer, originated as a web novel written by Yoon Yeo-eum before being adapted into a popular webtoon format. The promotional materials and early print editions were designed to capture the aesthetic of the 'rofan' (romance fantasy) genre, emphasizing detailed character art and regal, period-inspired fashion. These items were produced to cultivate interest in the series' narrative, which centers on themes of familial betrayal and the protagonist's quest for autonomy within a nobility-based society.

The design of the promotional volumes and art assets reflects the collaborative effort between the author and the illustrators tasked with bringing the webtoon’s visually rich world to life. The character designs were crafted to evoke a sense of elegance and refined melancholia, traits that resonated strongly with the South Korean webtoon audience. The series gained critical attention for its nuanced portrayal of the protagonist's emotional transformation, leading to its expansion beyond digital platforms into physical promotional media that collectors now seek as markers of the series' peak cultural influence.
