The Phantom Thief Brings a Bouquet tonight. ~Jewel of Tears~

The Phantom Thief Brings a Bouquet tonight. ~Jewel of Tears~ was authored by Orito Kahori, emerging during a period when the shōjo manga genre often featured whimsical, romanticized depictions of high-stakes larceny and secret identities. Published as part of a series centered on the archetypal 'phantom thief,' the work leans into the aesthetic and narrative tropes popular among teenage readers in the late 1990s and early 2000s, focusing on the blend of suspense and budding romance that defined Orito’s signature style.

Orito Kahori’s design philosophy for the series emphasized delicate linework and expressive character features, intended to elicit emotional resonance from the audience. The work was received as a lighthearted contribution to the shōjo canon, valued primarily for its charm and the consistency of its artistic tone. It remains a notable example of the era's focus on character-driven fantasy, reflecting the broader editorial trends of the time that favored imaginative, serialized stories of hidden lives.
