Where it came from
The Rage, originally titled La Rage in its native French, is a high-concept thriller series written by Pierre Boisserie. This second volume, subtitled Kill or Cure, continues the narrative arc of a world grappling with a mysterious, volatile biological phenomenon. The series was designed to blend elements of political conspiracy and science fiction, aiming to explore the fragility of societal structures under the threat of sudden, uncontained physical mutation.
The visual language of the series is characterized by its gritty, cinematic framing, which reinforces the high-stakes atmosphere established by Boisserie. Released in English translation by Titan Comics, the volume reflects the growing trend of bringing contemporary European graphic novels to wider international audiences. Upon its release, the series was noted for its propulsive pacing and its commitment to a dark, speculative vision of modern governance and medical ethics.
