The Registers of the Parish Church of Tunstall: Baptisms, 1626-1812. Burials, 1627-1812. Weddings, 1625-1812

This volume is part of the extensive effort by local historical and genealogical societies in the late 19th and early 20th centuries to transcribe and preserve original parish records. These registers for the Church of St. John the Baptist in Tunstall, Lancashire, were transcribed and edited to make the primary source data accessible to historians and genealogists who otherwise would have needed to travel to the remote parish to examine the fragile, hand-written parchment originals.

The editorial work was undertaken to ensure the longevity of the historical record, capturing vital statistics regarding baptisms, burials, and marriages spanning nearly two centuries.
