The Works of Benjamin Disraeli, Earl of Beaconsfield, Embracing Novels, Romances, Plays, Poems, Biography, Short Stories and Great Speeches: Endymion

Endymion was originally published in 1880 as the final major novel by Benjamin Disraeli, the twice-serving Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. Written during his political twilight after leaving office, the work reflects his seasoned perspective on the complexities of Victorian social ambition and the corridors of power. It serves as a semi-autobiographical capstone to his career, blending the romantic sensibilities of his early work with the cynical observations of a statesman who had shaped the British Empire.

The specific edition referenced, often produced as part of the broader scholarly republications of Disraeli's collected works, is designed to preserve the historical record of his literary output. While the original manuscript was crafted for the high society of the 19th century, these modern reprints are intended for collectors and historians seeking to analyze Disraeli's contributions to political literature. The design emphasizes archival accessibility, aiming to keep his extensive bibliography organized for those interested in the nexus of British statesmanship and creative writing.
