Where it came from
Yondemasu yo! Alice-san is a notable work in the vast Touhou Project doujinshi landscape, produced by the circle Tensaizoku. Published within the vibrant ecosystem of independent creator gatherings like Comiket, this volume centers on the character Alice Margatroid. Like many works in this genre, it serves as an unofficial creative expansion of the Touhou Project lore, exploring specific character dynamics and comedic scenarios that fans of the franchise often find compelling for their blend of reverence and creative liberty.
The art and narrative approach of Tensaizoku were designed to resonate with an established fan base already deeply invested in the bullet-hell shooter series by ZUN. By focusing on Alice, a character known for her stoic demeanor and puppeteering, the creators utilized familiar tropes to craft a distinct, character-driven story. It reflects the broader trend of fan-made publications that sustained the longevity of the Touhou franchise, demonstrating how individual doujin circles contributed to the community-driven mythos through illustrative, self-published media.
