Toukyou 卍 Revengers: Baji Keisuke kara no Tegami

Toukyou 卍 Revengers: Baji Keisuke kara no Tegami serves as an official spin-off manga focusing on the backstories of Keisuke Baji and Chifuyu Matsuno, two central figures from Ken Wakui's original Tokyo Revengers series. The series was launched in 2022 to expand upon the emotional depth and history of the Toman gang, specifically exploring the bond formed between the two characters before the events of the main narrative. It was written and illustrated by Yukinori Natsukawaguchi under the supervision of Ken Wakui, aiming to maintain the visual consistency and gritty tone established in the original work.

The narrative design prioritizes the interpersonal dynamics between Baji and Chifuyu, functioning as a bridge that provides necessary context for their character arcs in the primary series. By shifting the perspective to these characters, the spin-off explores themes of loyalty, adolescent struggle, and the intricate hierarchy of Tokyo's street gangs. The series has been received by fans as a critical companion piece, valued for its ability to flesh out supporting characters who played pivotal roles in the main storyline's most intense moments.
