Ultra Despair Girls: Danganronpa Another Episode Comic Anthology

The Ultra Despair Girls: Danganronpa Another Episode Comic Anthology was published in Japan in 2015, following the release of the action-adventure video game of the same name. As an anthology, it functions as a collection of short, humorous, and interpretive manga stories created by various artists, with Ichika Hana contributing to the project. These works were commissioned by publishers to capitalize on the popularity of the Danganronpa franchise, offering fans a lighthearted perspective on the darker themes and character dynamics established in the game.

The design and visual style of this anthology reflect the collaborative nature of the medium, blending the distinct artistic voices of multiple illustrators while maintaining the signature aesthetic of the Danganronpa universe. The project aimed to explore the daily lives and off-screen moments of protagonists Komaru Naegi and Toko Fukawa, providing a comedic counterpoint to the intense narrative of the source material. It was received primarily as a collectible supplement for dedicated fans interested in expanded character explorations rather than as a central entry in the series canon.
