Unmet —Aru Nougekai no Nikki—

Unmet —Aru Nougekai no Nikki— is a medical seinen manga series written by Kojika Yuzuru and illustrated by Kozuki Kanzaki. It centers on the life of Miyabi Kawauchi, a neurosurgeon struggling with memory loss who is permitted to work only as a medical assistant due to her condition. The narrative explores complex neurological themes through the lens of a clinical setting, aiming to balance procedural medical accuracy with an empathetic look at patient trauma and identity.

The series began serialization in Kodansha's Morning magazine, finding a dedicated audience for its grounded and often poignant approach to the neurosurgical profession. The manga received significant critical recognition for its depth, eventually leading to a live-action television adaptation in 2024. Its design and visual storytelling are noted for a clean, clinical aesthetic that highlights the intensity of the operating room while maintaining a soft, humanistic focus on the characters' interpersonal struggles.
