Weekly Dearest My Brother

Weekly Dearest My Brother is a manga series authored by kashmir, originally serialized in the Japanese magazine Manga Time Kirara Forward. The work emerged within the niche of surreal, darkly comedic manga that subverted the tropes of the slice-of-life genre, characteristic of kashmir's distinctive style which often focuses on existential absurdity and minimalist character designs. The series follows the bizarre and often unsettling daily lives of its protagonists, positioning itself as a satirical take on familial bonds and domestic interaction.

The design and artistic direction of the volume reflect kashmir's signature aesthetic, which utilizes sparse backgrounds and highly expressive, yet deadpan, character depictions to emphasize the comedy's dry tone. Since its initial publication, the work has been received as a cult classic among readers who appreciate avant-garde manga. It stands as a notable example of the author's ability to maintain a consistent, claustrophobic atmosphere that draws the reader into the peculiar logic of the characters' world.
