Yarichin Bitch Club, Vol. 1

Yarichin Bitch Club, written and illustrated by the artist known as Ogeretsu Tanaka, debuted in 2016 as a serialized manga within the pages of the Japanese publication Rutile. The series emerged during a period of increasing visibility for bold, transgressive narratives within the boys' love genre, intentionally blending dark humor and explicit content to subvert standard romantic tropes. Tanaka sought to craft a narrative that prioritized intense character dynamics and absurdity over traditional earnestness, resulting in a work that balances provocative themes with highly stylized, expressive artwork.

The first volume serves as an introduction to the titular photography club, a group defined by its eccentric members and chaotic social hierarchy. Upon its release, the series became a notable cult success, praised by its target audience for its uncompromising tone and distinct visual flair. While the subject matter remains polarizing due to its graphic nature, it is widely recognized by scholars and readers as a significant entry in modern alternative manga, eventually leading to a full-scale adaptation into an original video animation series.
