Yuri+Girlfriend Anthology

The Yuri+Girlfriend Anthology is a curated collection of short-form manga stories centered on the romantic and daily lives of lesbian couples. Published in Japan, this volume is part of a broader trend in the late 2010s where niche manga publishers shifted toward anthology formats to showcase various artists' interpretations of specific themes within the yuri genre, allowing for diverse narrative styles ranging from lighthearted comedy to poignant slice-of-life.

The project features work by several contributors, with Yurihara Aki serving as a notable contributor and editorial figure. The aesthetic is characteristic of contemporary Japanese shojo and seinen manga influences, prioritizing emotive character design and intimate, dialogue-driven storytelling. Upon its release, the anthology was well-received within the international manga community for providing a accessible entry point into diverse queer representation in Japanese media, standing as a representative example of modern, independent-feeling ensemble collections.
