Where it came from
Zenbu Osake no Sei ni Shite, created by the artist Nikumaru, emerged from the popular Japanese web-manga tradition often found on platforms like Pixiv and Twitter. The series centers on the candid, humorous, and sometimes poignant interactions between a heavy-drinking office worker and her younger, more composed counterpart, focusing on the comedic fallout of their shared late-night alcohol consumption.
The character design leans into the 'glamorous but messy' aesthetic, utilizing a soft, expressive art style that highlights the characters' flushed, intoxicated appearances. As a work that celebrates the relatable culture of after-work drinking in Japan, it gained traction for its slice-of-life charm and has been well-received by readers who enjoy short-form, personality-driven comedy that explores the complexities of workplace relationships.
