Are You That Afraid of the New Era?! (Alternate Art)

This card, titled Are You That Afraid of the New Era?!, was released as part of the OP17-037 Alternate Art series within The World's Strongest Warriors expansion for the One Piece Card Game. Its design draws directly from the iconic imagery of the Wano Country Arc, specifically capturing a tense standoff involving the series' primary antagonists. The artwork was commissioned to highlight the high-stakes, theatrical nature of the series' combat, utilizing bold lines and a striking color palette that distinguishes the Alternate Art variants from their standard counterparts.

The reception of this particular card has been shaped by the tactical utility of its effect within the game’s meta and its desirability among collectors who prioritize aesthetic variance. By featuring an alternate illustration, the designers aimed to provide a more immersive experience for enthusiasts of the source material, allowing fans to own a piece of artwork that emphasizes the emotional intensity of the narrative. It stands as a notable example of how the One Piece Card Game balances mechanical functionality with artistic expression to maintain collector interest.
