Avalo Pizarro

Avalo Pizarro, known as the Colossal Battleship, is a character card featured in the Emperors in the New World expansion (OP09-082) for the One Piece Card Game. This set focuses on the formidable leaders and allies associated with the Yonko and their subordinates, drawing directly from the character designs established by Eiichiro Oda in the long-running One Piece manga series. The card was released to reflect the immense scale and destructive power Pizarro exhibits as a member of the Blackbeard Pirates.

The card's design aesthetic prioritizes the gritty, high-contrast illustration style typical of the series' darker antagonists. By highlighting Pizarro's imposing physique and the thematic elements of his devil fruit abilities, the artists aimed to evoke the sense of threat he poses within the narrative. Since its introduction, the card has been received by players as a specialized tool for deck archetypes that leverage high-cost, aggressive character strategies.
