Bartholomew Kuma (CS 26-27 Celebration Pack)

The Bartholomew Kuma card, numbered OP09-108, was released as part of the promotional celebration packs tied to the One Piece Card Game's ongoing expansion cycles. These promotional releases are designed to commemorate significant milestones in the game's growth, offering alternate-art or functionally unique cards that highlight major characters from the series' expansive lore. Kuma, a pivotal figure in the narrative known for his enigmatic role as a Warlord of the Sea and his tragic backstory, was chosen to be featured here to reflect the high-stakes themes introduced in the later narrative arcs of the game.

The design of the card leans into the high-contrast, kinetic art style characteristic of the One Piece Card Game, prioritizing dynamic illustrations that capture the character's imposing presence. Illustrators for the set typically work under the supervision of Eiichiro Oda’s creative team to ensure the aesthetic remains consistent with the manga's visual identity. Upon release, cards from these celebration packs were received favorably by players and collectors, who value them both for their competitive utility and the rarity inherent in their limited-distribution promotional status.
