Bastille

The Bastille character card (OP12-088) was released as part of the Legacy of the Master event series, a cycle of promotional materials designed to celebrate pivotal moments and figures within the wider game narrative. These cards were distributed during specific organized play events, intended to reward participants and commemorate the ongoing evolution of the game's competitive landscape. By bridging the gap between standard set releases and community engagement, the series sought to highlight specific character arcs that had become fan favorites over time.

The design of the card reflects the aesthetic language of the Legacy series, characterized by bold, thematic framing and art that emphasizes the character's role in the overarching lore. The illustration was crafted to convey a sense of gravity and historical importance, consistent with the visual standards established for rare promotional variants. Upon release, the card was well-received by collectors and competitive players alike, who valued both its utility in gameplay and its status as a distinct memento of the game's organized play history.
