Eustass"Captain"Kid (One Piece Card Game Illustration Box Vol. 8)

The Eustass 'Captain' Kid character card (OP14-014) is part of the extensive promotional framework surrounding the One Piece Card Game, which launched in 2022 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Eiichiro Oda's long-running manga series. This specific card was featured in the Illustration Box Vol. 8, a curated collection designed to highlight high-quality character art. It was produced by Bandai to provide collectors and competitive players with alternative aesthetic versions of iconic characters from the series.

The design of this card focuses on the volatile and ambitious nature of Eustass Kid, a prominent member of the 'Worst Generation' of pirates. The illustration captures his aggressive persona and his unique metal-manipulation powers, maintaining the distinct, dynamic visual style established by the One Piece anime and manga. Upon release, the card was well-received by the enthusiast community, particularly among fans of the character, for its sleek foil treatment and the inclusion of high-fidelity artwork that elevates it above standard set-list versions.
