Franky (Alternate Art)

The Franky card (ST01-010) originated as part of the initial wave of promotion cards supporting the One Piece Card Game, which launched in late 2022. Designed to capitalize on the enduring popularity of Eiichiro Oda’s long-running manga series, this specific card belongs to the Straw Hat Crew archetype within the game’s first starter deck, ST-01. It was crafted to provide players with a stable, cost-effective character card that reflects Franky's utility as the shipwright of the Going Merry and Thousand Sunny.

The alternate art version of this card features a stylized aesthetic common to the promotional releases of the game, aiming to highlight the unique personality of the character through vibrant, high-contrast imagery. This rendition was created to appeal to both competitive players and series collectors, serving as a visual centerpiece that distinguishes itself from standard deck inclusions. Like many cards in the early promotional sets, it was received as a desirable collectible due to its limited distribution methods, which often tied the item to specific organized play events or promotional campaigns.
