Gum-Gum Storm

The Gum-Gum Storm card, designated OP15-095, was released as part of the promotional support for the Adventure on Kami's Island event series within the One Piece Card Game. These release event cards are crafted to incentivize participation in local tournaments, often featuring specific mechanical interactions that highlight the set's central themes. The design aesthetic aligns with the established visual language of the game, utilizing dynamic illustrations pulled directly from the source material to maintain consistency across the expanding collection.

The card’s design was conceptualized to serve as a staple utility piece for players focusing on the Monkey D. Luffy leader archetype, providing a board-clearing effect that reflects the namesake ability from the series. By integrating iconic manga panels with stylized game text, the card serves both a functional role in competitive play and a collectible role for fans of the franchise. It was received by the community as a vital tactical tool, particularly valued for its strategic utility in navigating the meta-game during the period surrounding the Kami's Island expansion.
