Where it came from
The card 'It's My Student's Farewell. I Want It to Be Proper.' was released as part of the EB04 'Adventure on Kami's Island' expansion for the card game. Designed to capture a narrative moment of mentorship and transition, the card functions as an event card, reflecting the thematic focus of the set on character relationships and pivotal story beats within the game's broader lore.
The artwork and mechanical design were crafted to emphasize the emotional gravity of a teacher parting with their charge. As with other cards in the EB04 series, the aesthetic direction aimed for a balance between traditional illustrative techniques and the clean, high-contrast style typical of modern collectible card games. It was received by the player base as a niche but narratively resonant piece, valued primarily for its specific utility in deck construction and its contribution to the set's overarching theme of island-based discovery.
