Jewelry Bonney

Jewelry Bonney, identified by the card number OP07-019, is a leader-type card featured in the '500 Years in the Future' expansion set of the One Piece Card Game. Released in 2024, the set draws thematic inspiration from the Egghead Arc of the One Piece manga and anime, a narrative period centered on futuristic technology and the mysteries surrounding the character Dr. Vegapunk. This particular card was designed to function as a mechanical representation of Bonney’s unique Devil Fruit abilities, which allow for age manipulation, fitting into the green color identity of the game that emphasizes defensive resource management.

The card’s illustration captures Bonney in her signature aesthetic, consistent with Eiichiro Oda’s character designs. As a leader card, it serves as the centerpiece for deck-building strategies that leverage the 'Supernova' and 'Bonney' archetypes. Upon its release, the card saw immediate competitive interest due to its card-draw and energy-cheating capabilities, which provided players with a reliable way to stabilize their board state. The design is noted for its clean, modern layout, which has become a staple of the Bandai-produced card game's visual identity.
