Lightning Beast Kiten

Lightning Beast Kiten was released as part of the Adventure on Kami's Island expansion, a set centered on the cultural and mythical landscapes of Japanese folklore as interpreted through the game's high-fantasy lens. Designed to introduce dynamic board-manipulation mechanics, the card depicts the Kiten—a creature derived from the legendary feline beast—harnessing localized meteorological phenomena. It served as a pivotal utility event for players looking to control tempo during the mid-game phase of the Adventure on Kami's Island competitive cycle.

The illustrative direction for the card was helmed by the franchise's core art team, aiming to blend traditional woodblock print aesthetics with the vibrant, saturated palette characteristic of the set. Upon its debut, the card was lauded by the competitive community for its balanced risk-to-reward ratio and its distinct visual style. It quickly became a staple in event-focused decks, favored for both its tactical flexibility and its contribution to the overall thematic cohesion of the island-themed expansion.
