Marco

The Marco card, designated OP09-052, was released as part of the 'Emperors in the New World' expansion for the One Piece Card Game, specifically associated with the 2nd Anniversary Tournament circuit. These cards were produced to commemorate the second year of the game's official global operations, serving as high-tier competitive rewards meant to celebrate the meta-defining characters of the current arc. The design reflects the game's standard for premium tournament promos, utilizing full-art layouts or distinctive holofoil treatments to distinguish them from standard booster pack pulls.

The character design maintains the signature visual identity established by Eiichiro Oda in the original manga, with the artistic direction for the card game focusing on dynamic, high-action illustrations that appeal to both competitive players and series enthusiasts. The card features Marco the Phoenix in his transformed state, a visual motif that highlights the vibrant blue flames associated with his devil fruit powers. Like most anniversary tournament cards, it was received with significant interest by the collecting community due to its limited distribution and the strategic utility of the Marco character within the game's complex ruleset.
