Monkey.D.Garp

The Monkey.D.Garp card, numbered ST06-012, was released in late 2022 as part of the Absolute Justice Starter Deck (ST-06) for the One Piece Card Game. This deck was designed to focus on the Marine faction, offering players a pre-constructed strategy built around the Navy's rigid sense of order and military force. By introducing prominent figures like Garp, the game designers aimed to leverage the deep narrative history of the anime, allowing players to build decks themed specifically around the world government's primary defensive force.

The card features an illustration of Garp in his iconic Marine coat, emphasizing his status as a legendary Vice Admiral. The design team sought to capture the character's imposing presence and combat prowess, utilizing the game’s unique aesthetic style that balances clean, modern typography with dynamic, cel-shaded character art. Upon its release, the deck was well-received by players for its solid tactical foundation and for providing fans with an accessible way to play as the iconic characters from the Marine headquarters.
