Where it came from
The Napoleon card, designated OP03-117, was released as part of the Pillars of Strength pre-release promotion for the One Piece Card Game. This set was designed to introduce characters associated with the Big Mom Pirates, a prominent antagonist group within the series. As a pre-release item, these cards were distributed at sanctioned tournament events to encourage community participation and provide players with early access to new mechanical synergies centered around the game's life-manipulation strategies.
The card features artwork depicting the sentient sword Napoleon, one of Big Mom's primary Homies. The aesthetic adheres to the high-contrast, dynamic style characteristic of the One Piece trading card line, utilizing bold lines and thematic color palettes to represent the character's fierce personality. Reception among the collecting community has been defined by its status as a collector's piece within the OP-03 expansion, valued primarily for its specific foil treatment and its functional role in the meta-game for decks utilizing the yellow color affinity.
