Nola

The Nola character card, identified as OP15-069, was released as part of the Adventure on Kami's Island expansion. This set was designed to introduce a more narrative-driven gameplay mechanic, shifting the focus toward exploration and environmental interaction within the game's broader universe. Nola was conceptualized as a central support character, reflecting the expansion's themes of discovery and reliance on secondary protagonists to progress through the island-based campaign.

The artwork for Nola was produced by the core illustration team for the series, who aimed for a softer, more atmospheric visual style to differentiate the character from the more aggressive combatants found in earlier sets. Upon its release, the card was received primarily as a strategic utility piece. Players often noted its unique ability profile, which allowed for balanced resource management, leading to its frequent inclusion in deck archetypes focused on long-term stability rather than immediate offensive pressure.
