Pacifista

The Pacifista card from the ST-03 Starter Deck: The Seven Warlords of the Sea was released in 2022 as part of the initial launch wave for the One Piece Card Game. These decks were designed to introduce players to the core mechanics of the game, with the Seven Warlords deck focusing on the synergy and board-control strategies characteristic of the series' powerful pirate coalition. The card depicts the mass-produced cyborgs developed by Dr. Vegapunk, serving as a staple low-cost character card that emphasizes the game's defensive and counter-play focus during the early meta.

The card’s illustration captures the sterile, menacing aesthetic of the Pacifista units, reflecting the character design established by Eiichiro Oda in the source material. By opting for a utilitarian and stoic portrayal, the design highlights the machine-like nature of the characters within the One Piece universe. Upon release, the ST-03 deck was well-received by players for its solid base of cards, and the Pacifista character in particular became a frequent inclusion in competitive decks due to its efficiency and the ease with which it could be integrated into various playstyles.
