Pell (Alternate Art)

Pell (OP04-013) is a character card from the Kingdoms of Intrigue set in the One Piece Card Game, released in 2023. The card features Pell, the guardian deity of Alabasta, and was produced as part of the game's expansion into the Alabasta Arc narrative. The alternate art version is notable for its stylized, cinematic depiction of the character, moving away from standard series art to provide collectors with a more illustrative, atmospheric aesthetic that emphasizes the character's avian transformation and noble stature within the story.

The design of this alternate art card reflects the broader artistic direction of the One Piece trading card game, which often commissions guest artists to provide unique interpretations of established manga characters. By utilizing high-contrast ink work and specific color palettes characteristic of the Kingdoms of Intrigue set, the design aims to evoke the arid, regal atmosphere of the Alabasta Kingdom. Upon release, the card was received well by players and collectors alike, valued primarily for its role as a playable utility card and its aesthetic departure from the base-set character portrait.
