Queen

The Queen character card, cataloged as OP01-097, was released in the inaugural set of the One Piece Card Game, titled Romance Dawn, in late 2022. This set was designed to introduce the game's core mechanics to a global audience, drawing heavily from the long-running manga series authored by Eiichiro Oda. The card depicts Queen the Plague, a prominent antagonist from the Wano Country arc, capturing his eccentric personality and mechanical augmentations through dynamic, high-contrast character illustration.

The design of the card serves a functional role within the game's competitive ecosystem, utilizing the Purple color affinity to reflect Queen's status as a leader within the Animal Kingdom Pirates. By emphasizing his role as a tactical support unit, the design team sought to balance his narrative intimidation with strategic utility on the board. The card was well-received by players for its synergy with the game's 'Don!!' deck mechanic, establishing it as a staple inclusion in competitive decks during the early stages of the game's lifecycle.
