Saint Jalmac

Saint Jalmac was introduced in the Carrying On His Will set (OP13-085) as part of a series focusing on characters tied to the celestial dragon history within the franchise. The card depicts Jalmac during the era of the God Valley Incident, reflecting his role as a participant in the hunting games that defined that period. His inclusion in this set serves to bridge narrative gaps between historical events and current story arcs, grounding the set's thematic emphasis on legacy and ideology.

The character design captures his haughty and entitled demeanor, consistent with the visual language used for celestial figures in the series. Illustrators aimed to convey both his authority and his inherent cruelty through his traditional garb and posture. Upon its release, the card was noted by players for its specific character-based synergy, though its aesthetic contribution to the expansion remains its most cited feature among those documenting the lore of the world.
