San-Gorou

The San-Gorou card, identified as OP05-065, was released as part of the fifth expansion of the ONE PIECE Card Game, titled Awakening of the New Era, which debuted in August 2023. The set was designed to coincide with the high-stakes narrative arc of the Wano Country saga in the manga and anime, focusing on the powerful transformations and team dynamics that defined that period. This particular card features the fusion-like aesthetic of Sanji and Zoro, highlighting their unique combat synergy within the series.

The design of this card incorporates the vibrant, action-oriented art style characteristic of the One Piece trading card line, which emphasizes dynamic character poses and bold color palettes. Like other cards in the OP05 set, it was developed by Bandai to provide players with specific strategic interactions, reflecting the complex personality clashes and eventual cooperation between the two characters. Upon its release, it was well-received by players for its thematic accuracy and its utility in decks leveraging the purple and black color attributes.
