You'll Frighten Me... (Alternate Art)

The 'You'll Frighten Me...' event card was introduced in the OP14 set, 'The Azure Sea's Seven,' as a core piece of utility within the game's evolving meta-game. Designed to provide tactical disruption during high-stakes turns, the card reflects the aesthetic shift seen throughout the Azure Sea cycle, which emphasized nautical themes and maritime dread. Its mechanical function was crafted to reward reactive play, allowing players to negate aggressive maneuvers by their opponents.

The alternate art variant, numbered OP14-118, was released to offer a visually distinct version of the standard card, featuring highly stylized illustrations that lean into the atmospheric horror of the series. The artist focused on capturing a sense of claustrophobia and looming menace, utilizing a muted palette to differentiate it from the primary set's brighter designs. The card was well-received by the competitive community for both its practical effectiveness and the aesthetic appeal of its expanded, borderless artwork.
