Where it came from
Bonnie debuted in the Pokémon Trading Card Game as part of the Sun & Moon—Forbidden Light expansion, which was released in May 2018. The card is based on the character from the Kalos region, who serves as a primary companion in the X and Y anime series. The design captures her energetic personality, featuring artwork by Megumi Mizutani that highlights her bond with the Legendary Pokémon Zygarde, centralizing the themes of the expansion regarding the balance of power and ancient energy.
As a Full Art Trainer card, this item belongs to the high-rarity subset sought after by collectors for its unique aesthetic. Mizutani, a prominent illustrator for the franchise, utilized a vibrant, character-focused style that was well-received by fans of the X and Y era. The card serves as a mechanical tribute to Bonnie's journey in the games and media, allowing players to utilize Zygarde's Complete Forme, cementing its status as a significant piece of memorabilia from the seventh generation of the trading card game.
