Chimecho δ

The Chimecho δ card was released in 2006 as part of the POP Series 4 set, a promotional collection distributed exclusively through the Pokémon Organized Play program. During this period, the Pokémon Trading Card Game introduced the Delta Species (δ) mechanic, which reimagined familiar creatures with different elemental types to reflect their environment-altering experiences in the fictional Holon region. As a Metal-type iteration of a typically Psychic-type Pokémon, this card represented the creative experimentation of the era, where species were assigned types based on their altered habitats rather than their traditional biological classifications.

The artwork for this card was crafted by illustrator Kouki Saitou, who played a significant role in defining the aesthetic of the Delta Species subset.
