Fraxure

Fraxure 68/101 was released as part of the Plasma Blast expansion for the Pokémon Trading Card Game, which debuted in 2013. This set focused heavily on the Team Plasma narrative arc, featuring cards with distinctive blue-themed borders and design elements that denoted their affiliation with the antagonist organization. As a Dragon-type Pokémon, Fraxure benefited from the specific mechanical support introduced for the type during the Black & White era, serving as an evolutionary bridge between Axew and the powerful Haxorus.

The artwork for this card was illustrated by Midori Harada, an artist long associated with the Pokémon franchise. Harada’s design emphasizes the creature's aggressive stance and bladed appendages, utilizing a dynamic pose consistent with the visual style of the Plasma Blast set. While uncommon cards serve primarily as functional components for deck building rather than focal collector pieces, this card remains a representative example of the aesthetic shift toward high-contrast, stylized holographic and non-holographic art that defined the later years of the Black & White series.
